Disadvantaged Families in Need of First Aid

Have you ever stopped to think about the bubble we live in?

We are constantly surrounded by the luxuries of life. We go to work/school, see our loved ones, and move on with our day, free of worries. Well, it isn't like this everywhere. Countless people live without knowing where their next meal is going to come from or even where they're going to be sleeping at night. Their injuries go untreated. Infections brew. They desperately need to attend to their wounds, but they do not have the equipment to do so. While we enjoy the privilege of immediate medical attention, there are communities around the world, including right here in the US, where the absence of first aid kits can mean the difference between life and death.

This is where we, a group of college students, have decided to draw the line.

We aim to raise funds to construct and distribute first aid kits to underserved areas globally and locally. These kits are not just a collection of medical supplies; they are a lifeline for families who face health crises without the resources to combat them.

Our volunteers will draw on all the kits as well as place little notes in them for the kids. We not only want to provide bandages to cover the cuts of these children— we also want to provide them with smiles on their faces to help distract them from the tough lives they face. Even if the smile is short-lived, it can make all the difference.

Time is of the essence, and every moment we delay is a moment someone might go without the care they desperately need. As we immerse ourselves in our daily lives, we forget that there are countless families struggling without the most basic healthcare provisions. SPAid is committed to breaking this cycle of neglect and making sure that no family or child lives their days without caring for their injuries or keeping a smile on their faces. SPAid is more than just an organization; it's a movement of college students fueled by empathy and a burning desire to make a difference. We come back from classes straight into constructing kits, ordering materials, making drawings, and planning our next delivery.

We have a vision. We have a plan. Now, we just need the funding. We need YOUR support to bring our vision to life. No matter how small, every contribution matters and will go directly towards the creation of funding of first aid kits to those in need.
