This is Manuel, who was born prematured and with his cord around his neck. Manuel was born in Romaina where his parent lived until he was 5 years old. When Manuel's mother went into labor early morning in Romaina, the doctor in charged refused to wake up to assist in the delivery because he wanted to sleep.
Manuel was born prematurely with the umbilical cord around his neck, he suffered oxygen deficiency which affected his nervs and eye sights. His legs are not working poperly and he cannot stand straid up. Manuel needs orthopedic shoes and physio therapie to help him stand upright and walk normal.
His parents moved from Romania to Spain because they were told that they could access better health care for Manuel in Spain. What they did not realise was that they have to pay for the type of treatment their son needed. Manuel's father is ex-police officer from Romaina, and lives on his pension. The litte money that had saved was expended within the first year of them arriving in Spain. The father is unable to find a job, and the mother works as a cleaner to provide for the family as the father's pension is not enough for them to survive.
Here is Manuel and his loving parent who are unable to provide him with physio therapy and orthopedic boot that he needs because they do not have money to do so.
Manuel is a highly intelligent boy with high goals. He hopes to be a computer programmer some day. At 12 years old, Manuel already has Java certificate in coding. He speaks Romainan, Spanish, English and is learning Japanese. Manuel recently had his very old mobility scooter that was his life line stolen from outside his home. The theft caused his parent a great amount of stress as the scooter was the only way their son could get around and they had no money to replace it.
We have got him a used scooter because Manuel was crying and his parent could not afford to get him a replacement scooter. The joy his face on receiving the replacement sccooter was priceless. However, we would have liked to help some more and this is the reason why we have started this gofundme page to ask for help unbehalf of Manuel.
An extract from Ian, the guy that delivered the scooter to Manuel on June 9, 2018 "it was good to see his face yesterday made our day. Being involved with putting a smile back on the lads face priceless. Made our day"
Thank you for reading Manuel's story and for your support.
