On Friday, December 11th, Dirk Trone suffered a fatal heart attack while at work.
Dirk’s job was the primary source of income for he and his wife Kathy. Dirk had carried life insurance for years - however, it was unexpectedly canceled just prior to this tragic incident due to a misunderstanding regarding the specific type of cancer he had battled fifteen years ago.
This fundraiser is to help ease the weight of the immediate financial burdens that Kathy now faces, and to give her time to grieve. Additionally, she will have to sell the family home they lived in and raised their family in for 30 years - one that Dirk designed and built by hand.
Dirk had a servant’s heart. If you attended any gathering with him, he and his wife Kathy likely were working behind the scenes to help it all go smoothly.
He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with his kids and grandkids, and serving his church community.
He had a genuine appreciation for life, and loved God and his family fiercely.
Dirk was a gentle and kind man who served tirelessly. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
