My name is Kiana Johnson and I am 23 year old Black autistic peer youth community organizer and activist as well as a writer and up and coming youtuber in Philadelphia.
Due to difficulties with unemployment with a dash of wanting to better improve my situation to be prepared for the upcoming hardships that the coronavirus mixed with the hardship of racism, bigotry and poverty bring to myself and the people I wish to serve I have decided to lean on direct aid via GoFundMe
I am making this Gofundme to greater help me accomplish my personal and community based goals.I also have a Gofundme that will support my initiative Black Reparations/Resources and Funds, basically making this one act as my salary and the other one act as organizational money that will be directly given to Black marginalized genders and sexes in need/assistance as #DirectMutualAid . What the money in this GoFundMe will go towards:
Supporting my own upkeep (rent, utilities, supplies)
Helping me continue to support my community through outreach and distribution of resources (direct support mutual aid, safety materials, PPE items etc)
Transportation
Medical expenses
Creative endeavors
Emergencies
Further my education (I am trying to go to back to school to become an independent licensed social worker as to provide people with someone they can trust in the social services field that can break down barriers in the occasional instance direct aid is not enough. I also want to get a certified autism peer specialist certificate as I am currently a peer support through exact work and skill set but my education has been as a community health worker).
Please grant me the ability to accomplish these goals and make sure that when we say Black excellence we also mean excelling at making sure the most marginalized of us receive a much greater quality of life.
