Direct Donations for our Displaced BQE Neighbors

We’re raising money for direct donations to our recently displaced neighbors under the BQE! Following orders from Cop-Mayor Eric Adams to terrorize and evict homeless people across the city, police and Sanitation destroyed all the encampments under the BQE this week, displacing many of our neighbors who have nothing left, and nowhere to go. Now, cops are aggressively patrolling the area, making violent threats, harassing former residents and demanding they remove tents and other belongings immediately.

 

Outreach volunteers from NBK Essentials are in contact with some displaced neighbors and are working hard to get in touch with others and support them in any way they need. We’ll distribute 100% of the money we raise as direct cash donations to our displaced friends, and will match the money we raise with current funds from from Open Collective, NBkMA's fiscal sponsor.
