Direct Aid for Minneapolis & St. Paul Communities

Organized by Delaney Cassidy in collaboration with the Boston Scientific Young Professionals Network (YPN) – Arden Hills and local community organization Minneapolis Supply Drive for Justice.
In response to the loss of grocery stores and other businesses affecting people’s access to food, clothing, groceries, medication, and other needs, I am partnering with YPN – Arden Hills and the Minneapolis Supply Drive for Justice to collect funds to provide direct relief to our community members in need.
100% of the funds collected here will go directly toward purchasing supplies (groceries, household items, diapers, etc.) to be distributed at locations throughout South Minneapolis, North Minneapolis, and Midway St. Paul. These communities have been hardest hit by the closure of businesses that people rely on, and the need for support is ongoing.
WHERE DOES MY DONATION GO?
Your donation will go directly towards purchasing supplies for established distribution sites in South Minneapolis, North Minneapolis, and Midway St. Paul. There is a map of distribution sites at https://twin-cities-mutual-aid.org/ and a list of sites and other resources at uprising.mn.
HOW ARE ITEMS TO PURCHASE IDENTIFIED? WHERE ARE THEY DONATED?
The needs in these communities shift daily. Members of the Minneapolis Supply Drive for Justice are in contact with local coordinators at distribution sites across the cities. In addition, the two sites referenced above are updated daily/weekly with urgent needs.
BOSTON SCIENTIFIC IS ALREADY GIVING $250K TO THE REBUILD & RECOVERY EFFORTS IN MINNESOTA. HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT?
The funds collected here will go directly to providing groceries and other supplies for community members in need. The efforts to rebuild Minnesota are essential to support, but grocery stores will not be rebuilt overnight. Our community needs sustained, ongoing support during this period of rebuilding, and these funds will help provide that.
