Dignity Grows for the Burnstein Clinic
Donation protected
We are a group of students at Groves High School working on a Passion Project to make a difference in our community. We started by collecting essential hygiene products at schools in our district and throughout the community, which will then be made into care packages and distributed to patients at the Gary Burnstein Community Health Clinic (GBCHC). The GBCHC is a free health clinic located in Pontiac, MI that provides health, dental, and pharmaceutical care all at no cost. Then we found Dignity Grows. Dignity Grows is the national provider of free comprehensive hygiene essentials paired with period products and distributed in a discreet fashion. Each Dignity Grows tote bag contains a month’s worth of menstrual and comprehensive hygiene products. Totes are distributed to a charity of choice. In this case, we chose the GBCHC. Each tote costs about $10 to produce, so we are fundraising through our community. Our goal is to raise $500, which will add 50 more totes to our original goal of 50 care packages from our collection efforts in the schools and community. Any donation will help. Once we reach our goal, we will be holding a packing party with Dignity Grows to assemble the tote bags and distribute them.
We appreciate your support.
