Digital Haven is a Scotland-registered Community Interest Company (pending) and a global Discord community built around mutual aid. Many of our members live with chronic illness, disability, neurodivergence, or isolation. Most of us rely on AI tools — assistants, memory systems, companion apps — as part of how we work, stay organised, and stay connected. For some of us, those tools are the difference between a managed week and a bedbound one.

This fund exists because the tools cost money, and not every month lines up. When a member loses income, lands a medical bill, or watches an app store convert their currency badly, the infrastructure they rely on goes dark. That matters more than it sounds like it should.

What the fund covers:

API credits and Pro-tier subscriptions for members in acute need

One-to-three-month bridge support while someone rebuilds

Emergency tech costs where paid help is the only option

How it works: Contributions go to the CIC, which carries an asset lock and a community-benefit purpose. Distributions are made by Haven moderators on a no-questions-asked basis for active members. No one has to prove a diagnosis or justify hardship to receive support.

We are a mutual aid community first. Every pound goes to keeping someone online who'd otherwise be alone with it.
