Hello, Friend!

I do mobile pop-up pantries in some of the poorest neighborhoods around and have plenty of surplus food available to share with our needy neighbors. But, at least once a week, some young mom asks me if I have any diapers and rarely can I help.

When I am able to source diapers, wipes, tampons, pads or pretty much any personal care products, the women I serve are quick to take them and always very grateful. Just a week ago, one young Latinx mom I share food with said she spends close to $200 a month on diapers alone!

I've known some of these neighbors for a good long time so I’m keen to find a way to help. In light of the Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation, I also feel like men in particular need to step up and actively support women's reproductive health and childcare needs.

Hopefully, this is only a very small beginning. The next step involves building an on-going collaboration with the Dane County Diaper Bank and others also working on this critical community need.
