1st Marine Division isn’t just a gaming community—we’re a family. Built around Squad, our community has grown into hundreds of players who have spent countless hours together on the battlefield, forming real bonds that extend far beyond the game.

One of our own, known to us as Dialysisdude, has been facing serious health challenges for a long time. He undergoes regular dialysis and often spends long stretches in the hospital. His condition has progressed to a point where we want to make the time he has as comfortable and connected as possible.

Despite the difficulty of his situation, he continues to join us whenever he can. His humour, resilience, and steady presence have made him a cherished part of Mjolnir and our Division as a whole. His situation is something that would overwhelm most. Yet throughout everything, he has shown a level of character that has become nothing short of legendary within our ranks. His humour stays sharp, his attitude stays positive, and his presence—whether he’s joking around, defusing tension, or lifting someone’s spirits—remains steady and genuine.

What stands out most is how he carries himself. He never lets hardship define him. He never lets the weight of his situation leak into the joy he brings to others. His resilience is quiet but powerful, shown not through grand gestures but through the simple, consistent way he continues to strengthen those around him. His courage, warmth, and ability to bring laughter—even on his hardest days—have become a source of morale for the entire Company.

The days aren’t easy. But gaming still brings him comfort, connection, and a sense of normal life—especially when he’s able to hop in and spend time with his friends.

We want to give something meaningful back.

Our goal is to raise funds to buy him a Steam Deck—something he can bring with him during hospital stays and dialysis sessions to help him stay connected to the community he loves. He doesn’t know we’re doing this, and I dare say he would be strongly against such acts of charity. We want it to be a surprise from all of us who appreciate him so deeply.
