My name is Maria, and I'm making this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister and brother-in-law, Jesus & Evon Ramirez. My BIL was experiencing some strange bruising throughout his body and was urged to go to the doctor. Fast forward a week later, we are now faced with a diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Jesus began chemotherapy immediately and will be in the hospital for a minimum of 30-60 days. The exact type of Leukemia is still being determined as there are 7 types, and each type can potentially change his prognosis, treatment and time in the hospital. For now, we pray for healing and assistance in such a scary time. My sister Evon is doing her best to work while caring for the household and seeing her husband during visiting hours. It is a considerable strain on her and our family as we are doing everything we can to prepare to hold it down while he heals for an unforeseen amount of time.
