Hello, I’m Chaminda Delpagodage and I live in Massachusetts, USA. This is a friends & family fund raiser organized by me and my wife Nadeeka Thiththagalla Gamage
Context:
Sri Lanka is facing the worst economic crisis since its independence in 1948. This is rapidly escalating into a humanitarian crisis partly due to the critical shortages of urgent medicine and other medical supplies.
Today (4/27/2022) My wife Nadeeka Thiththagalla Gamage and I did a small personal donation of LKR 204,000 worth of diabetes care supplies (glucose test strips and glucometers) to Lady Ridgeway Childrens Hospital in Sri Lanka (details and pictures attached below)
But we realize the need is huge - not something a few donors can fulfill. Many hospitals have run out of funds to buy these supplies and urgently need them to care for diabetes patients. So we decided to raise more money (from firends and family) and donate more diabetes care supplies to hospitals which need them urgently to save patients lives.
Thank you for helping us save a life of one more person during this economic and medical crisis in Sri Lanka!!!
