Legal help to advocate for Kyla
Donation protected
This is for my mother, Debbie Delisi, who is raising her granddaughter, Kyla, since February 2019. Kyla is my niece.
In December 2018, my mother was granted care to foster Kyla from the Georgia courts. At that point, no other family member in GA was approved for placement, so my mother, gladly and willingly, stepped up to care for her and she went through the necessary steps to do so. Kyla was driven to Virginia on February 5, 2019 by two case workers. By this time, Kyla was in 3 different foster homes. She was 13 months old. Kyla’s father and mother are recovering from substance abuse. Kyla is a ward of the state, temporarily.
It has now become necessary for my Mom to retain a lawyer for representation and to start the process for permanent placement. She has been in her care for almost two years and Kyla is fully bonded with her Nana and our whole family in Virginia. She is a very bright girl and thriving. She is so loved!
My Mom has been 100% financially responsible for Kyla. She has received no payments from the State of Georgia. And, as you know, it’s a huge, financial commitment. She needs help with attorney fees. With an attorney’s assistance, we wish to keep Kyla in her loving, safe and secure environment.
Any donation, of any amount, will be greatly appreciated.
