This is really hard to write, but we’re asking for help for someone we love very much, my sister Janie. Janie has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is preparing for surgery, followed by recovery time that will require stepping away from work. This has been an incredibly challenging time — physically, emotionally, and financially.

In the middle of all of this, Janie is also a devoted mother to two beautiful daughters who mean the world to her. Her focus right now is on being there for them while also taking the time she needs to heal, something no parent should have to navigate while worrying about finances.

Anyone who knows Janie knows how strong, caring, and selfless she is. She’s usually the one showing up for others, and now she’s facing one of the hardest seasons of her life. Between medical bills, surgery, ongoing care, and time off work, the financial strain is adding up quickly. Our hope with this fundraiser is to help relieve some of that pressure so Janie can focus on her health and her girls, instead of worrying about how to keep up with expenses.

Me resulta muy difícil escribir esto, pero estamos pidiendo ayuda para alguien a quien queremos mucho, mi hermana Janie. A Janie le han diagnosticado cáncer de mama y se está preparando para una cirugía, seguida de un período de recuperación que le impedirá trabajar. Este ha sido un momento increíblemente difícil, física, emocional y económicamente.

En medio de todo esto, Janie también es una madre dedicada a dos hijas maravillosas que lo son todo para ella. Su prioridad ahora es estar con ellas, a la vez que se toma el tiempo necesario para recuperarse, algo que ningún padre o madre debería tener que afrontar mientras se preocupa por las finanzas.

Quienes conocen a Janie saben lo fuerte, cariñosa y generosa que es. Ella siempre está ahí para los demás, y ahora se enfrenta a uno de los momentos más difíciles de su vida. Entre las facturas médicas, la cirugía, el tratamiento continuo y el tiempo que tendrá que estar sin trabajar, la presión financiera se está acumulando rápidamente. Con esta recaudación de fondos, esperamos aliviar parte de esa presión para que Janie pueda concentrarse en su salud y en sus hijas, en lugar de preocuparse por cómo cubrir los gastos.
