Desperately needing an air conditioner

I moved in December, 2023 to my present apartment in another city of New York state. Unfortunately, my movers didn't bring my air conditioner. It had been lightly raining outside that day & the owner of the moving company didn't want his workers to get wet removing my ac unit from the wall opening it was in. I wasn't happy but they didn't give me a choice.

In my apartment all I have is a tower fan & a ceiling fan in the kitchen area. Last week it got up to the mid-80s & was uncomfortable in my LR & BR. It's supposed to get warmer again next week & stay up in the 90s.its also very humid in Western New York. I'm not only concerned about myself but my older cat Goose.

I'm desperately needing an air conditioner, which includes a dehumidifier.

I've priced them on Walmart & Amazon, & paid attention also to the energy efficiency for my electricity usage. There was a Midea at $302 including tax & an LG model at $356, including tax as well. But more than likely I'll go with the Midea brand.

So I will need around $325. I'll need a little besides the cost to have someone install it. It's too heavy for me.
