DESPERATELY NEEDED HELP FOR LINDA'S DAUGHTER

The loss of a family member is always a tragedy and heartbreaking, especially if that person has lost their life earlier than we would normally expect, often causing major consequences for surviving family members, particular their offspring.In November 2021, we sadly said farewell to Linda Jenkins, a much-loved mum, sister, cousin, grandma, aunty and friend. Knowing the end was coming due to major organ failure, particularly her kidneys and heart, Linda tried to ensure that her finances and things were in order and had arranged things so that her two daughters and son would each have a little bit of inheritance. Eldest daughter, Nicky, was to act as executor for the will despite not having any real knowledge of what this involved. Linda had tried to make sure it was all straightforward but sadly these things sometimes take a turn for the worst and in this case, things went badly wrong and despite selling the house, legal bills have mounted up leaving not only all inheritance gone, but also a bill of £13,000 that Nicky is liable for. As you can imagine, she is devastated as well as being extremely worried about how to pay this enormous bill. It is grossly unfair that she has been left with this problem which is NOT of her own making. She has received no support from Linda’s surviving partner and is at her wits end and that is why we are starting this GoFundMe for her. She is not looking to make anything for herself, only help to pay the legal bill so that she is not left with a huge debt that she would struggle to ever pay. We would be so grateful if as many of our family, extended family and friends would be able to offer a donation, however big or small, that would go to sort out this terrible situation. Linda herself would be devastated to know that her passing away has left her daughter in this intolerable situation but it would be a fitting way to honour and respect her memory if we could come together to sort this out as fully as possible.If you would like to remember Linda and the children and grandchildren she left behind, could you please consider making a donation to this fund. However much you are able to give would move Nicky and her family that much closer to seeing the end of this legal and financial nightmare. Nobody should be left in a worse financial position from a will in which they were intended to benefit from a little. Nicky is a hard-working mum but has no savings or way to meet this bill and, being honest, she would be extremely grateful.
