Hi everyone, my name is Maria. I’m a single mom of three (ages 11, 7, and 3), and I’m reaching out because I’m truly in a tough spot right now.

I currently work three jobs — one part-time/on-call (my regular job) and two that are on-call or as-needed. My hours have been changing drastically from week to week, and over the past couple of months, my income has dropped a lot. I also donate plasma and bake from time to time. Now everything is catching up, and I’ve fallen behind on bills.

I recently received a 15-day notice from PG&E, and my power is set to be shut off on Monday, October 27, 2025. I’m also behind on one month of rent, my car payment, and car insurance — but my main priorities right now are keeping our home and electricity for my kids.

I’ve applied for help with PG&E but haven’t received a response yet. I’ve always tried to handle things on my own, but this time I’m asking for help because I’m desperate to keep stability for my children.
