Desks for students in Tanzania

Last year, I travelled to Africa with my husband's family. While on safari, we visisted a local elementary school and what I saw broke my heart. Kids were sitting on the ground while learning to read and write. We brought some coloring pens and other school supplies, and seeing the joyous look on their faces had an unforgettable impact on me. I knew then and there that I had to do more for these children. I contacted several organzations across America to help fund the purchase of desks for this school, however each organization only sponsors specific schools, none of which was the one I visited.

This is why I am here. Please help me raise a small amount of money to fund the construction of desks for a school in Nyamoko, Tanzania. You will help make a huge difference in the lives of these children. They'll have a much better learning experience if they have a place to sit and a desk upon which to write. Their learning experience will be so much more enjoyable and fulfilling -- unlike many of us that take education for granted...they'll look forward to coming to school ;)
