Des's Recovery fund

Des was hit on a bike by a CTA bus this past weekend and has been in the hospital recovering since. She fractured her skull (even though she was wearing a helmet), her leg, shoulder blade, and rib. The leg injury was bad enough that it required surgery and she will need physical therapy to get back on her feet. We are so, so, so grateful that she’s still with us. She’s starting school in a couple weeks and won't be able to work for 3 months. This is just a small fund so she can stay on top of things while she recovers.
