This year, we are honouring Des Connolly for his service to the club.

Aside from being the club treasurer, a member of our committee and the hundreds of hours spent working behind the scenes, Dessie managed our Sunday side for the best part of a decade.

Dessie took over the then U14s and brought them all the way to senior football, spending 5 years as the senior manager.

In that time, he brought the John Giles Cup back to The Parish, reached the final of the Dalton Cup and O'Neills Cup before leading the Sundays to 2 promotions, leaving them in Premier Sunday.

Dessie had to step away midway through last season due to work commitments.

On 14th June, Dessie will be reassembling his Sunday side for one final game against a mixed squad of current players. Make sure to get down to help the club give Dessie a proper send off.
