Summertime. A time for carefree laughter and fun. A time for summer camp across the country. For one week a year our campers with neuromuscular diseases come to this magical place to swim, zip line, dance, and do arts and crafts free from their regular caregivers and constraints in an environment adapted to them.

For the past 30 years one of the highlights of our Muscular Dystrophy Camp is the pinewood derby race. The campers spend all week building, sanding, and painting their cars and then ... The Big Race.

This year we have doubled the number of campers and can not accommodate one of the most favored activities: The Pinewood Derby. Our homemade racetrack, which has been built and rebuilt numerous times is now too small and weather-worn to be of service. A 30 year plus tradition will go away without a new track.

So here's the ask... We want to buy a commercially made track made from more durable material then we can make ourselves. Hopefully, it's the last track we ever need to purchase. With your generous donation we can raise enough money to get one with electronic timers and lights indicating the winner of each heat.
