Tennessee's Helping Hearts Helping Injured Deputy

Deputy Shelby Eggers with Blount Co. Sheriff's Dept. was shot when she & Deputy Greg McCowan responded to a call. Deputy McCowan was killed; Deputy Eggers sustained injuries while trying to help her partner. The suspect was caught after a week long manhunt. He was caught the night before Deputy McCowan was laid to rest.

Shelby is a true hero. While attempting to apprehend the suspect, she was both tased & shot, still returning fire to defend herself and her partner.

Shelby is a family woman with children. She now has injuries from which she needs to recover as well as obvious emotional wounds. Please help Shelby in this tough situation. All proceeds go to Shelby.

RIP Deputy McCowan. We are grateful for your service and that of Deputy Eggers as well. May God bless your families & bring them comfort in their time of need.
