Dental Mission in the Dominican Republic
Donation protected
Hi! As many of you know, I am a pre-dental student planning on attending dental school next year. I am involved in a dental missions outreach club at Clemson University and have recently been appointed Assistant Team Leader of the organization. Through the national organization, Volunteers Around the World (VAW), our Clemson branch is planning a mission trip this summer to the Dominican Republic. During this trip, I will be working in a clinic alongside a dentist to help local patients who cannot afford dental care. I will attend many workshops in order to learn the basic skills needed to work in this clinical setting. This trip is a once in a lifetime opportunity to help the underprivileged people of the DR, as well as to gain valuable experience working hands-on in a clinical setting that will benefit me during dental school.
This trip will cost a total of $2,500 which includes room and board, airfare, and other travel costs. Donations of any amount would help me be able to take part in this wonderful opportunity. Thank you so much.
