Denmark Community eBus Working Group

Hi, my name is Gillian and I'm a Denmark Community eBus working group member.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our GoFundMe campaign for the Denmark Community eBus Working Group! Our mission is to provide a sustainable transport option for our community, enabling convenient and eco-friendly travel to Albany and around the Denmark region.

Our working group collaborates with the Shire of Denmark, Denmark Community Foundation, and the Denmark Community Resource Centre to secure funding for an electric wheelchair-accessible vehicle. We are grateful to have received a financial commitment of $40,000 from the Denmark Community Foundation. We are also in discussions with Lotterywest, from whom we hope to secure $100,000.

Currently, we are $40,000 short of our goal. To strengthen our grant application and demonstrate community support, we are seeking additional donations. Your support would be invaluable in helping us reach our funding target.

We are raising funds to acquire a small, electric community bus. This bus will serve as a vital connection, offering a green transportation option for community groups and residents. Our initiative aims to reduce our carbon footprint, promote cleaner air, and enhance accessibility to community activities for everyone in our community - young and old!

The funds raised will go directly towards:

Purchasing a Small Electric Bus: Acquiring an efficient, reliable, and environmentally friendly vehicle.

Infrastructure Development: Setting up the necessary charging stations and maintenance support for the bus.

Community Outreach and Education: Informing the public about the benefits of electric transportation and how to utilize the new service.

No matter how small, every contribution brings us one step closer to achieving our goal. Join us in creating a sustainable transport link benefiting our community and setting a positive example for other communities to emulate.
