Dejaun's International Chess Journey 2024

Dejaun started playing chess online in 2020 at the age of 6, during the Covid-19 pandemic. His coach, FM Warren Elliott, realized that he had a natural knack for the game and encouraged his parents to have him continue playing. His first tournament was Jamaica's Online National Age Group Chess Championship in 2021 where he placed 4th in the Under 8 Absolute section.
