I’m Anna, the Organiser at Winthrop Gardens and Cafe.

We’re a sensory gardens with a busy new Cafe with lots of events and regular activities. All run by a fantastic team of over 100 volunteers - mostly retired and in the older age bracket!! Our customer demographic is similar which is why we would like to have defibrillators available should there be a need.

So we’re fundraising for two Defibrillators- one to have available on site for volunteers and customers and a second which can be taken out by our Walk Leaders on the 3/4 regular weekly walks.

We want to be properly prepared to be able to offer life saving help if it’s needed - although we hope the proverb ‘hope for the best but plan for the worst’ will hold true!

We hope our volunteers, customers, friends and supporters will help us in this appeal. There’s this opportunity to make a direct personal donation but we’ll also be having Tombolas and Bake Sales!!
