Defibrillator's for Swiss Cottage Walk
Donation protected
Swiss walkway is used daily and is a very popular route for local walkers, runners and a large volume of visitors to our area.
The nearest defibrillator is at the Swiss Cottage, but this is not accessible outside of opening hours.
There is a need to have more than one available that can be accessed at any time in case of emergency.
With the money raised, we hope to install two new defibrillators at each end of the walk and provide training to use them.
Local groups Cahir Meet & Train, Cahir Tidy Towns, and Healthy Tipperary, with the support of local celeb's The Two Johnnies, are coming together to Run/Jog/Walk a 5km route to raise vital funds for this cause on Saturday, 12th Nov @ 10 am.
The starting point is from Cahir Fire Station registration from 9 am.
Route is out Clogheen Road past the golf course continuing until the left turn down to Cahir park, coming down to the bridge on swiss cottage walk, crossing the bridge to turn left back to the finish line at the Dove Coat, which is located at the back of the Castle Car Park.
Flat Route suitable for buggies all children must be supervised by an adult.
