My name is Clare and I'm a registered SAMS responder. I've lived in Over for the last 29 years and I'm also a business owner with our shop being on the high street.

Recently I responded to a medical emergency and accessing the defibrillator at the primary school was a serious challenge as only select people have the code.

There is a defibrillator at the community centre but when responding to medical emergencies, time is truly of the essence and every second counts. For those whose closest defibrillator is the primary school, having limited access to this outside of school hours poses a serious concern.

We are raising money to have a defibrillator placed outside of the Ponders Travel shop on the Over high street. This will be accessible to anyone with a code that 999 operators will be able to provide over the phone.

We would also like to use this opportunity to honour the memory of Adrian Winter who was a cherished member of the Over community before his passing in 2023.
