Defibrillator For New Hall Hey Sports Ground
Donation protected
( Anything above £1000 will go towards funding either the maintenance of the defibrillator at New Hall Hey or potentially a second one which will be donated to a local grassroots football club )
New Hall Hey is a multi-sport facility, in the heart of Rawtenstall. Over each weekend, the venue occupies a range of local football clubs. This sees children and adults of all ages using the facility. A defibrillator is vital, not just for the sports teams, but for the community in the surrounding the local area.
Here’s a scary fact: anyone can have a cardiac arrest, at any time. Often there are no obvious risk factors. An estimated 30,000 people a year have one in the UK. And here’s another scary fact: for every minute it takes to find a defibrillator and shock a person in cardiac arrest, their chances of survival reduce by 10%.With CPR and defibrillation, chances of survival can increase ten-fold.
On the 21st of October, I will be walking from Blackburn Rover Stadium (Ewood Park) to Blackpool Stadium (Bloomfield Road). In order to raise money for a Defibrillator. We already have been kindly given a housing unit for the defibrillator by Rossendale FC so we just need to raise funds for the Defibrillator itself.
If any of the children would like to join me on a part of the walk that would be brilliant, more details will be announced in due course.
Thank you as always for your continued support.
