We’re having another School Lane Defibrillator quiz night!

Last time you raised an incredible £1124.89 towards the defibrillator, and we need another push to get us closer to our dream.

Time: 1900 (for a 1930 start) – 2200

Location: Detling Village Hall, Pilgrims Way, Detling, Maidstone ME14 3EY (https://www.detlingvillagehall.co.uk/)

Teams: Maximum 6 people

Allocation of tables: First come, first served (the hall has space for 20 tables)

Tickets: £10 per person – buy by donating the correct amount on our Go Fund Me page and messaging Lis with your team name and details.

Bring: Your own table snacks and drinks, cash for table games

WHAT ARE WE FUNDRAISING FOR?

We’re fundraising to install a publicly accessible heart defibrillator on School Lane, Maidstone. Hopefully residents and guests will never need one, but it's good to have it there just in case.

According to the BHF*:

• There are more than 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests in the UK each year

• Having a defibrillator in the community can save someone’s life if they have a cardiac arrest

• Chances of survival decrease by up to 10% for every minute that passes without CPR and defibrillation

• Defibrillators should be possible to fetch within 4 minutes (the nearest defibrillator to School Lane is 2 minutes 45 seconds away by foot – making it a 5.5 minute+ round trip)
