Help Oberhaus Family With House Fire Expenses
Donation protected
My name is Michael, and my wife, Jerica, and I are asking for our community to come together and help us support our neighbors, Chris and Morgan Oberhaus and their three children, as they navigate through recovering from a house fire. Morgan is employed at Heather's daycare here in Defiance, and Chris is employed by Keller Trucking. Chris also coaches Little League in the community and is the coach of the Dodgers. Chris and Morgan are very active with their children and local sports.
On May 31, 2022, the Oberhaus family suffered a house fire that started in their attic. Fortunately, the family was not home at the time, so no one was injured, and their animals were able to be removed safely from the house during the emergency response. While emergency responders were able to extinguish the fire and prevent a total loss, there was still extensive smoke, fire, and water damage to a portion of the house. One of the most notable rooms lost in the fire was their two-year-old son's bedroom. This loss includes a complete loss of his clothes, toys, and furniture.
Due to the damage, the family is currently unable to stay in their home and is presently staying at a local hotel. We ask that you please help us raise money to support them through these temporary relocation expenses, food expenses, clothing for their children, and other unforeseen expenses as they navigate through this tragedy.
