Defend the Maple View Community and respect rural Orange County!

The donations collected by this fundraiser have helped represent the interest of the rural community in the fight against agritourism abuse that ended in Union Grove Farm withdrawing their appeal of Orange County Planning Department’s final and binding determination that their amphitheater or “farm stage” is not agritourism. When UGF withdrew their appeal, they indicated they have plans to submit a request to the county for a new determination with reduced capacity and some unspecified related activities. The county, in their most recent determination, clearly stated that an amphitheater is not a farm use, no matter the size. The issue and dispute are active and ongoing. UGF is still attempting to abuse the agritourism statute. Additionally, the TLC lawsuit is continuing, and it alleges that UGF is violating the terms of the forever farming conservation easement. Any funds not used will be donated to the Triangle Land Conservancy.
