In these unprecedented times, it feels like life is standing still doesn’t it?
Yet I know that our lives are still moving and shaking, and busier than ever.
As a portrait photographer and filmmaker, I have spent countless hours documenting the organic connections between parents, children, aunts, uncles, and grandparents alike. Even though we are isolated, I know those connections are still happening within your four walls, I’m just not there to document them.
That’s why starting today I’m announcing that I’m joining the #FrontStepProject movement; I will be taking 5 minute “Front Step Portraits” of Dedham residents. After your session I will email you one digital file from your portrait session with me.
In exchange I’m asking for a good faith donation to the Dedham Food Pantry through this GoFundMe Campaign. A $50 donation is recommended but any amount is appreciated. I
will be posting these images on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #TheFrontStepsProject. Please share these posts. Let's spread the word!
The #FrontStepsProject was created by the incomparable @carasoulia, (www.carasoulia.com) from Needham, MA, designed to keep us connected as a #community during this unprecedented time, while also giving back to those who have fallen on hard times during this global crisis.
It’s also designed to keep us connected as Dedham neighbors, since we can no longer rely on seeing each other out and about in our town on a daily basis.
These sessions will be brief, only about 5 minutes. They will take place outside ONLY, at least 10 feet from your front steps. You can dress up, wear sweats, a costume, really whatever you want. It’s totally up to you! Be YOURSELF.
The Dedham Food Pantry is a not for profit, non-denominational, and non-political run entirely by volunteers and funded entirely by contributions. Established in 1990 with the mission of ending hunger in the community of Dedham, Massachusetts.
