Help us build a Junior High School in a remote community in Ghana -
A future begins with a classroom
This December, for our second project, Help Support Foundation is partnering with Colin Owusu to return to Ghana with our most ambitious and heartfelt mission yet — to build a junior high school from the ground up in a remote community in the Eastern Region, where children currently have no access to further education beyond primary school.
In this small but vibrant village called Kyereban, near Pitiku - children complete primary education but are left with nowhere to go next. The nearest junior high school is too far to travel and does not have enough space to accommodate all the students who wish to continue their studies. As a result, many young people — some as old as 14 and above — are at home, unable to continue their education and pursue their dreams.
They have over 200 pupils as it stands and more kids are at home who are not attending school.
We believe every child deserves the chance to learn at every stage of their education.
Our vision is to build three spacious, fully equipped classrooms that will serve as a dedicated junior high school — a safe, permanent space where students can continue learning, growing, and building their futures with dignity and hope. Once completed and approved by Ghana’s education authorities, this school will also create employment opportunities for teachers and bring long-term, sustainable change to the entire community.
This project is so much more than bricks and cement. It’s about ensuring that no child’s education ends too soon, opening doors to opportunity, restoring dignity, and planting seeds of hope for generations to come.
Our Fundraising Goal:
We are currently estimating a cost of around £4,000 which will cover essential building needs. As we gather more exact figures, here’s a breakdown of the basic resources your donations will help us provide:
• Cement
• Bricks (or materials to make bricks from scratch)
• Roofing materials (wood and metal for a stable structure)
• Paint
• Tools and equipment
• Tables and chairs
• Whiteboards
• Food and water for our local construction workers
• Payment for skilled labour & transportation
Why It Matters:
Many children in Ghana’s remote areas are being left behind, not because they lack potential, but because they lack access. Your support doesn’t just help build a school — it helps build a future in education for generations.
Together, we can be the reason a child walks into a classroom for the first time. Whether you contribute £5 or £50, every donation helps lay a foundation of hope.
Please donate, share, and stand with us as we build something beautiful — a future, one classroom at a time.
With love and gratitude,
Help Support Foundation
