My name is Daniel, and I never imagined I would find myself in a position where I needed to ask for help.

In 2020, during the COVID lockdowns, I was made redundant from a career that I had worked in for 13 years. Rather than give up, I invested my time, energy, and savings into retraining at college while also working as a courier to support myself and my family.

After years of hard work, I successfully built my own business. For five years, the business provided for my family and gave me hope for the future. Unfortunately, in late 2025, everything changed.

A client refused to pay a substantial outstanding invoice and subsequently posted damaging comments online about my business. The financial loss, combined with the damage to my reputation, had a devastating impact. Despite doing everything I could to keep the company going, my business eventually collapsed.

The collapse of my business didn’t just affect me financially—it affected every part of my life. The stress became overwhelming and contributed to the breakdown of my marriage. Following the end of my relationship, I found myself trying to cope with the loss of my business, my financial security, and my family life all at the same time.

The pressure of everything that has happened has had a serious impact on my mental health. I struggle with anxiety and depression and often find myself reliving the stress of what happened. There are nights when I wake suddenly in panic, shouting or screaming from nightmares about everything that has taken place. The constant stress and uncertainty have left me emotionally exhausted and struggling to see a way forward.

I am a father of three children. My youngest son is five years old and lives with Angelman syndrome and autism. He requires extra care, support, and stability, and my greatest wish is to be able to provide him with a secure future.

At the moment, I am living in a caravan while trying to rebuild my life. To keep a roof over our heads and meet basic living costs, I have relied heavily on credit cards and loans after losing my business and being unable to secure regular work for the past six months. This has left me with significant debt that I simply cannot clear on my own.

The money raised through this fundraiser will be used to pay off the debts that accumulated while I was trying to save my business and support my family. Clearing these debts would give me the chance to move forward, find stable employment, rebuild financially, and begin saving towards a small home where my son and I can have the security and stability we desperately need as he grows older.

I am not looking for a handout. I am looking for a chance to start again after losing almost everything I worked for. Anyone who knows me knows that I have always worked hard and done my best to provide for my family. Right now, I need a little help to get back on my feet.
