Deaton Adoption

Donation protected
We have considered adoption for a while now. But when we realized that our bodies just weren't ready to have any womb babies we decided it was time to go all in. We started by choosing an adoption agency, then a country. India is a place dear to Darci's heart since she spent almost a year there teaching English at a small children's home. Brett also has a connection to that area of the world after spending a summer in Malaysia. We are both excited about welcoming a child with a rich cultural heritage into our home and are eager to bring such diversity into our family. The journey so far has been, we think, pretty similar to pregnancy. It's a long, difficult, but incredibly thrilling process. It's also quite expensive. We believe that the cost of the adoption (which is comparable to a domestic infant adoption) needs to be high to facilitate such an important and sensitive process as bringing a child into a new home. The money is going towards making the process seamless and safe. Although we can pay for most of it through our own income and savings we are short the amount we anticipate spending. Would you consider being a part of this journey with us through financial means? We stand by the proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child," which to us means that we are adopting this child as a community and hope that you all will be a part of their life. You can learn about the process by reading letters to our future child(ren) here.
