Dear friends, family and good supporters, I communicate with you with great urgency and despair. My name is Salim al-Qurm, and I am from Gaza City, Palestine. I studied high school before the war broke out, and I was very hardworking. I hope to become a doctor like my father, but I no longer have a future. We left our house in Beach Camp and it was bombed, and now my family and I live in a tent in Rafah. My father is a doctor and was trapped in al-Quds Hospital. He was then displaced to Al-Amal Hospital to complete his work. He was also surrounded and arrested by the occupation along with a group of doctors. He tasted the colors of torment just because he was doing his job as a doctor and was released, now he has fractures in his chest, nose and foot.

My older sister, Zainab al-Qurum, is 22 years old and is studying medicine in her fourth year. There are two years left to graduate, and of course she will not be able to complete her studies. My brother Mohamed, 19, is studying medicine in Egypt. He is always worried about us. He will receive the money for me and coordinate us. My brother Taha, 17, and my sister Menna, 13, were detained with my father at Al-Amal Hospital and stayed there.

She was alone after my father's arrest, and suffered a lot, but she was brave and all the trapped people testified to it. She was coordinated and discharged with patients.

Nada is 10 years old and Abdullah is 6 years old. Now we are all 8 people in a small tent. There is very little water and food as well. Mom has a stomach ulcer and is experiencing great hardship because she needs healthy food and is not available. She is constantly worried because of the occupation's announcement that they will enter Rafah and we will be homeless. We ask you to help us.
