As many of you may know, my Dad, Dean Murray lost his battle with FTD (Frontotemporal Dementia) in early of January 2023.
The year of 2023 has been a mix of emotions for the Murray's. Losing a father & husband at a young age is an indescribable pain, a void that seems too great to overcome.
When Dad got sick, it felt like we were sent into a world that suddenly felt so unfamiliar, navigating life without the steady guidance and comforting presence that my Dad always provided. It's the constant wish for the walks, talks, advice, and shared laughter. It's the
milestones and accomplishments that feel bittersweet because there's a part of you that wishes he were there to witness and celebrate them with us.
As we approach the one year anniversary of his passing, I would like to honour and remember him by collecting donations for the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
The Alzheimer's Society plays a crucial role in funding research, providing support services, and raising awareness about various forms of dementia, including Frontotemporal Dementia. Your donation can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected and contribute to finding a cure for this heartbreaking disease.
To make a donation in honour of my father, Dean Murray, you can use the GoFundMe link attached. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help bring us one step closer to a world without dementia.
I am grateful for your consideration and support. Let's come together to honour Dean and make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by dementia.
Thank you for your kindness,
Katrina Murray
