Hi my name is Ruth and I am fundraising for a mission trip to Kenya in August 2026.

Whilst I'm out there I will be building some accommodation for young girls who have fled FGM and arranged marriage. We will be working with a fantastic team to provide a space where children who have been marginalised by society will be able to learn, develop vocational skills, and access the support they need.

This is so important to me as I believe all children should have the opportunity to learn and be cared for, and all children have the right to a safe place. As a trainee teacher, I understand how essential it is for children to be educated academically, socially and emotionally, as well as having the opportunity to develop their skills and talents. This project will enable me to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children who would be otherwise excluded or abandoned.
