Help us start a Family

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Breanne and I want to share our story in hopes to gather prayers or donations to help us start our journey to having a family. Zach and I have been through quite a bit in the past seven plus years. Early on in our relationship, we both knew that we saw kids in our future. I always said I wanted 3, Zach always said he wanted 2. We always talked about how we would raise our future kids, and we would talk about what that looked like to each of us. These talks made us fall even more in love with each other as we realized we wanted the same things.

We got married in 2016 and started talking about kids right away and getting excited. Although nothing happened. As years passed, it left us wondering when our time would come. Close to the end 2020 we decided it was time to start digging deeper to figure out what was going on. Although it was really hard to get an appointment for “infertility” type issues right in the peak of Covid. We tried and tried and finally had a little bit of luck in 2021. We were finally able to get checked out, and the findings were that Zach was healthy, and I possibly had endometriosis, although they couldn’t verify that without surgery.

In August of 2022, I went in for a laparoscopic surgery where what was found was zero signs of endometriosis, but instead, BOTH of my fallopian tubes were 100% blocked/closed. My OBGYN was able to open them up. This left us with so much hope.
Another several months passed with no luck, so we decided to take the route of medications. After a year of medications, and a few heart breaking negative tests, we finally got some news that we had been waiting for, for seven years.

On October 20, 2023 I HAD A POSITIVE TEST!!! I was over the moon excited, and even more excited to tell Zach. I had all these dreams of telling him in the most picture perfect way, but I just couldn’t hold it in. This was our dream. I laid the tests out and the second he came in he screamed with joy and we cried together with so much excitement in our hearts. We were so thankful for this long awaited gift from God that we prayed for daily.

Although it was still a bit early, we were so excited to share the news. We’ve had so much love and support from our friends and family over the years, that we just couldn’t wait to tell people.

Exactly a week later, we were relaxing in the living room watching the World Series game when I got an extremely bad sharp pain in my lower right abdomen. Of course I started googling, and google says something along the lines of lower abdomen pain is usually nothing to worry about in early pregnancy. I was trying to tough it out, but the pain kept getting worse and worse. Zach was begging to take me to the ER, but I kept feeling like I could tough it out. Unfortunately the pain was so bad that I started going in and out of consciousness and realized it was definitely time to go.

After the ultrasound, we were heartbroken to learn that it was an ectopic tubular pregnancy, and they felt I needed emergency surgery to remove it because of the damage it had already caused to my tubes. They said if it was to burst, I would internally bleed and it can cause extreme complications including death. I was rushed in for surgery, where they ended up needing to remove my right fallopian tube because they felt it was too damaged and full of blood. They visually inspected the left tube, and after surgery told me that if I naturally get pregnant again, it will more than likely get trapped in the left tube and happen again because it looked abnormal.

We’ve made the decision now to start the process of speaking to an infertility specialist, where we will need to take the route of IVF. Unfortunately IVF is not covered by insurance, so we are wanting to put our story out there to try to raise the funds to start a family. It’s not easy to share all the details while we are still healing from the loss of the pregnancy. But we feel there is no better time than now. We would like to get started with this as soon as we have the funds to cover it.

If you can’t donate, sharing our story with your friends and families would be so appreciated. Prayers are greatly appreciated as well. Asking for help is not something we are good at. Although we never imagined how expensive IVF is. The infertility clinic explained the procedure and costs to us, and we know that asking for help is the only way we can make this happen.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this. We really appreciate it.
