On behalf of Antoinette Coppola, we have started this go fund me page. Many people from the Trumbull, CT area know and love Toni, aka the crazy dog lady and have seen her around town. Being in her late 60’s, she has been a Trumbull resident for over 27 years and has lived in the same house. Being the amazing dog lover that she is, she has rescued and rehabilitated hundreds of dogs in her career and currently has 3 dogs of her own. As a handler and trainer, her dogs are impeccably trained, clean and well behaved.
She is battling several health issues as most of us know and will soon need to have spinal surgery. On top of it all, she is being evicted from her home of 27 years for no fault of her own. She made an agreement with the original owners years ago that she can stay there until she dies however after their passing, the children are selling all of their properties including the home she has lived in for 27 years. Although she has put in $35,000 of her own money, they will not use that as a down payment on the home nor are they giving her this money back. She has all the recipes to prove this number as well as before and after pictures of the remodeling and beautification. She cannot find a place to rent with her dogs and was told to just put the dogs down or re-home them (essentially her children) in order to find a place to live.
We have setup this go fund me account to help raise enough money to put as a down payment for a new home where she can enjoy time with her dogs in her final years. She is such an incredible and amazing woman and what is happening to her is unacceptable. This situation has been extremely stressful and taxing on her health. Instead of taking care of herself and her dogs, she is now terrified of where she is going to live.
