West Marin's Day of the Dead! This beloved annual event has become the largest latino community celebration in West Marin. This unique multicultural and multigenerational community event honors our loved ones past, with a ceremony, pageantry, music, food,and celebration. Community members construct a large community altar for people to place photos and mementos of our loved ones. We are funded fully by private donations. Everyone that works on this event volunteers their time so we are able to keep the cost of the event low. Day of the Dead is free community event, all ages welcome, and some activities include face painting, a procession, a local chorus, children chorus, a heart warmingl ceremony, and a bowl of posole for ALL!
