On Sunday 7th September I will be joining 59,999 other runners in Newcastle upon Tyne, setting off over the iconic Tyne Bridge to make my way over 13.1 miles to the sea at South Shields. I have chosen to raise money to benefit Archies Caravan, which is a small charity I discovered through my place of work, William Jackson Food Group. Each year we undertake a charity challenge and a colleague nominated Archie's Caravan, a Yorkshire charity which was set up by her neighbour. Archie’s Caravan provides free holidays to families who have a child who has been diagnosed with cancer. This provides them with the opportunity to spend quality time together, make special memories and take a break when they need it the most. Archie’s Caravan is situated at the Haven Reighton Sands Holiday Park in Filey on the Yorkshire Coast. Please take some time to read their story here
