Thank you so much for stopping by. Please join me in support of Haitian mothers, babies and birthing families. I’ll be taking my first trip to Haiti to volunteer with MamaBaby Haiti for 8 days, starting on November 13th. Your support is crucial!
Why am I going?
As I plunge into my future as a midwife and midwifery school, my heart and soul are being opened, exposed and called to take action for birthing women across the globe. To be able to “give” with the simple touch of my own hands, my ever growing skills and capabilities and my love, all while witnessing the power, strength and determination of a birthing women, is… profound.
My heart is expanding.
I am lucky.
I’ve been wondering how I can best impact real change. The answer keeps coming to me in the most simple form:
One Mama - One Birth - One Baby... at a time.
This leads to a whole new chapter in my life: My walk with MamaBaby Haiti.
Why MamaBaby Haiti?
Haiti holds the highest mortality rates in the Western Hemisphere for both mothers and babies. MamaBaby Haiti is a non-profit birth center, health clinic, and midwifery school located in Northern Haiti that opened in 2010. They provide a safe place for Haitian women to receive compassionate and respectful care at the hands of skilled midwives. They provide free prenatal, birth, postpartum and newborn midwifery care including labs, ultrasounds, and a nutrition program for severely malnourished pregnant and nursing women. Their model has been proven to reduce the maternal and neonatal mortality rates.
I am honored and humbled to join them as a volunteer.
What will I be doing?
I will spend 8 days volunteering with MamaBaby Haiti during clinic hours, supporting births, assisting classes, and I’ll provide absolutely any support that’s needed.

In the country with the highest infant and maternal mortality rate in the western hemisphere, the Gift of Life is the most precious thing. Your donation will provide ENTIRE care for one mama and her child. Any donated amount is so appreciated.
