His story:

“I am Ahmed. I am 30 years old. I am married and have three children. Bakr Omran Maryam. I used to work before the 7th of October in a factory. The factory was destroyed and our future was destroyed. Now we are living in very difficult circumstances that no one can abandon. I hold Egyptian citizenship and aspire to cross through a crossing. Rafah to Egypt to find safety and peace for my family.

People, I am looking for safety and peace for my family. I want to provide a safe and dignified life for my children.

My children sleep to the sound of rockets and shells.

I want to establish a decent life for my children.
