DaVita Fundraiser for Ashley Bailey
Donation protected
My name is Amber Dowd (Justice League), and on behalf of TMC Cares, Licensure & Certification, and ROPS, I am raising funds for Ashley Bailey, who suddenly lost her dear husband, James Bailey, on July 20th.
James was a beloved TMC teammate about to celebrate his 6th anniversary with the Village. He was a dedicated ROPS teammate who helped leadership with training and treated his team like family. Although his team has remained mostly remote during the pandemic, he kept everyone connected by sending daily fun trivia emails that brought smiles, laughter, and nostalgic memories to all who received them. He was also an integral member of our charitable committee TMC Cares and regularly donated time and money to local charities and teammates in need across the Village. Everyone who worked with him knew that he gave of himself at every turn and always left everything better than how he found it. Ashley is also a TMC teammate (L&C), and together they were a precious couple working with the same goal - to provide for our patients and make the world around them a little bit better.
James's DaVita journey started long before he became a teammate. He was a dialysis patient at a DaVita clinic and ultimately received a kidney transplant. He was so moved by his DaVita experience that he wanted to pay it forward and work for the company that saved his life. James touched the lives of all he worked alongside with his steadfast work ethic and unique charm, and he tirelessly worked to spread ripples throughout the local community and beyond with his charitable efforts. I am lucky to have called him my friend, and it is no hyperbole to say that his loss is immeasurable to so many.
Ashley recently experienced immense loss when her mother passed away last year, and she was still grieving when James passed. James was Ashley's rock, having been her devoted partner for 18 years. They had recently purchased their first home together and were enjoying the excitement and novelty of being first-time homeowners. Now with just her solo income facing medical bills & funeral costs on top of the new mortgage and regular cost of living, Ashley's need for financial support is enormous. Please consider donating to this fund so we can help alleviate what will surely be many financial hurdles for her in the days, weeks, and months to come. Ashley is typically on the giving end of comforting and supporting others, so let's surround her with all of the love and support we can during this unthinkable time of loss for her. It takes a Village, so let's put that phrase into action and help one of our own. #VillageStrong
