Davis Children Fund-In Memory of Orville Davis

**Updating the story on 1/23/2019 as per requested by GoFundMe Management Team with details about the fund creator and intended use of funds. Everything in bold is added information for the benefit of the donors and GFM management team to have complete transparency as to who they are giving to and how the money is to be used.
My name is Liesel Flansburg, and I am an Aunt to the 5 Davis Children whom this fund is intended for: Luke, Jordan, Olivia, Gabrial and Jevon. I live near Colorado Springs, Colorado, about 20 minutes away from where the Davis kids are living now with my Mother and Step Father, Janice and Bill Dahl, who also share guardianship of the kids with my Father, Lowell Grauberger. As mentioned in the original post, we intended the funds to be used in the kids' transition to a new home and for their educational support. Here is what I wrote in our thank you notes recently sent to the donors: "After some discussion, we feel that the kids should know how many people came together to show their support, and take the opportunity to help them learn about saving and investment for education. So we will give each child a sum of the funds in their name to invest in an education fund with the family’s trusted financial advisor to watch the money grow for use in their future education." This will be the specific use for the funds from this GoFundMe page.
Lastly, GoFundMe has challenged me (Liesel Flansburg) on withdrawal of the funds since I am not the immediate beneficiary. I am withdrawing the funds into my personal bank account and will write a check to my Mother, Janice Dahl, who is one of the guardians of the beneficiaries (who are all under the age of 18 and do not have means to receive the funds directly). Janice Dahl will then create the accounts under our family's financial advisor in the names of each of the children and deposit all funds into each of the accounts.

I've been asked several times so I'll give a public update on the other Davis GoFundMe page: Please note that the other GoFundMe that was set up will not be benefiting the 5 Davis children; we attempted to rectify that but in the end we couldn't fix the issue, and unfortunately to not have the time or heart to fight it further. We are still thankful for the thoughts and love that was expressed there for the children, and will share the notes written there with the kids.
Family, and specifically his 5 children, were the first thing Orville Davis thought about every morning and the last thing he thought about before going to bed every night. If you are here, you likely know that Orville passed away on December 26th, 2018, leaving Luke, Jordan, Olivia, Gabrial and Jevon without their parents to care for them.
If Orville could have asked for one thing, we are positive that he would have asked to be sure that his children are well cared for, supported and most of all, loved. We've received so many questions of "what can we do to help?" that we have started this fundraiser. All money received will go directly to the Davis kids to assist in their transition to the next phase, as well as ensure that their education is supported. This fund will be managed directly by the kids' Grandparents, Janice and Bill Dahl and Lowell Grauberger, and will be used solely for the benefit of Luke, Jordan, Olivia, Gabrial and Jevon.
Whatever you give, we pledge to deliver a lifetime of love to these children and beg of you to continue to enrich their lives with your love, support, prayers and presence in memory of Orville. God Bless you all.
