David’s Marathon Fundraiser

Hi everyone! My name is David Clifford and on Sunday June 1st I will be running the Brisbane marathon to raise funds for two great charities which have helped me personally. 

The first is St Vincent’s Curran Foundation, the foundation is the primary fundraising organisation for St Vincent’s healthcare facilities. All funds raised will go directly to their ICU department. Having spent almost 2 months in their ICU department in Darlinghurst my family and I saw first hand the exceptional care they provide to their patients under huge pressure and challenges. There care has allowed me to run this marathon and I would love to be able to give a small bit back to a department which has helped us so much.

Secondly, I will be running in aid of the Irish Support Agency (ISA). The ISA is an integral support network for the thousands of Irish in Australia offering a wide range of services including crisis support, employment assistance and housing support. The ISA were on hand to support my family and friends during a difficult and uncertain time and requires vital funding to continue this support structure.

My aim is to raise $1000 AUD for each Charity but regardless if I hit this target, all funds will be split evenly between both charities. Any donation little or large makes a huge difference to both organisations and the people they help every day.
