Liam’s 17 mile a week walk

David Myers what’s not been said about this one of a kind genuine bloke who went round with his best friend Si King cooking and showing our nation how to make delicious food from around the world.

Born in Barrow and Furness Cumbria he tragically died of cancer on the 28th of February 2024 which shook the nation and the biking community in response his wife Lillian his best mate Si King and Woody set up a bike ride in his memory in June 2024 which set off from London and drove 310 miles to Barrow-In-Furness where Dave was born which then created the title “Dave day” no one would of predicted the the 46,000 bikers to ride all the way to Barrow to be greeted by thousands waiting for them at Barrow town hall.

Dave day 2025 is set to be another big event in memory of David Myers and there is going to be a Charity football mate Dave gold Stars Vs North West Community stars football club with ex pros so to raise money for one of the chosen charities for the football match I will be walking from Kendal to Grasmere every Friday until Friday the 20th where I’ll be walking from Kendal to Barrow.
