Dave Allen's Pennine Way challenge for his 40th birthday.

I have decided to celebrate my upcoming 40 laps around the sun by taking on the Pennine Way. As I don't normally follow the trend, I have decided to tackle the route starting from the finish and heading back towards home.

I also couldn't miss out on making this a fund raising opportunity. As a fundraising supporter of the Edale Mountain Rescue Team, it was an obvious choice to choose them as my charity.

I will be starting the route on the 4th of July and aiming to complete it on the 20th of July as that is my birthday.

I know that times are financially tough, but if you are able to spare some change, no matter how small then I would be gratefully received.
